Successful event managers are the consummate party hosts — planning and managing all details of special events. Event managers make sure that everything runs smoothly and effortlessly. A Certificate in Event Management offers the necessary tools and training in financial and legal safeguards, marketing and the business habits of an effective event manager. The program provides professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to organize professional meetings, weddings, trade shows, conferences, sporting events, and other personal venues. As companies push for more international business relations, the demand for event managers is expected to rise, making it one of the fastest-growing professions in the next 10 years.

Completion Information
Completion Requirements
To earn the certificate, students must successfully complete (grade C or better) a total of 15 units: nine required and six elective units.
Completion Time
The program can typically be completed in nine months to one year. All coursework must be completed within five years.
Cost
The cost for the program is approximately $2,800. This does not include textbooks or materials unless otherwise noted.
Transfer Credit
One equivalent courses from other accredited colleges and universities completed within the last three years will be considered for transfer, up to a total of 4 units. All requests must be in writing and students must have paid the certificate application fee. Official transcripts required.
