Completion Information

Completion Requirements


To earn the certificate, students must successfully complete (grade C or better) a total of 20 units as follows:

• Required Courses – 15 units
  • Screenwriting: Introduction (3 units)
  • Screenwriting Workshop (3 units, repeated three times for a total of 9 units)
  • One additional course selected from a different genre such as nonfiction, fiction, etc. (3 units)
• Elective Courses – 5 units

Completion Time


The program can typically be completed within 9-12 months.

Cost


The cost to complete the program ranges from approximately $2,000 to $2,400. This does not include textbooks or materials unless otherwise noted.

Transfer Credit


Equivalent courses from other accredited colleges and universities completed within the last five years will be considered for transfer, up to a total of three units. Official transcripts are required.
