Midlife Reimagined: The New Science, Art and Possibility of our 40's, 50's and 60's

March 21 6-7:30 p.m.

Join New York Times bestseller author and NPR correspondent Barbara Bradley Hagerty as she shares her groundbreaking new research on the science, art, and opportunity of thriving in midlife and beyond.

We all say it half-jokingly, but it's for real - today 60 is the new 50. And 50 is the new 40. Through the miracles of modern medicine, we've added decades to our life span, but not simply by extending old age. Rather, we've inserted into the middle, years of health and boundless potential - we've quite literally expanded midlife in ways that were once unimaginable.

But how do we take advantage of this new reality? How can we thrive - keep our brains sharp, our lives energized, our marriages and other relationships fresh? How should we handle the nearly-universal midlife career slump? Or the loss so many of us feel, when we want, or need, to retire from our primary careers?

No one knows these issues better than New York Times best-selling author Barbara Bradley Hagerty, who quit her highly-successful career at National Public Radio and traveled the country, interviewing psychologists, physicians, neuroscientists, geneticists and scores of 'regular people' for her most recent book: Life Reimagined: The Science, Art, and Opportunity of Midlife. Along the way, Barb discovered secrets that she's put to work in her own life, and will share with you in this enjoyable, exciting and mind-opening program.
