What is a Summer Academy?
Make this YOUR summer of opportunity. Whether you are looking for a new career or to just sharpen the skills you already have, your place is at UCR Extension. Life is moving faster than ever and time is precious. Take advantage of the little extra time you may have this summer to do something for your future.
Enroll in a short, intensive Summer Academy and complete an entire certificate or professional achievement award in as little as four weeks. You'll go back to work in fall with a whole new set of marketable skills.
Summer Academies require the same amount of completion hours and offer the same high quality of instruction as the longer, academic year programs. Many academy programs combine classroom activities with the convenience of online learning. You work hard and your instructors require a high level of commitment from you, expecting you to understand that "short" does not mean "less."
Graduating from a UCR Extension Summer Academy demonstrates that you have completed a planned, sequential program of study in a particular field of knowledge and that course of study has met the high standards of academic approval set by the Academic Senate at UC Riverside.
