Parking
Nobody likes to get a parking ticket. Knowing the rules and regulations regarding parking at UC Riverside will help make your visit to campus a positive and pleasant one.
Temporary Parking:
Visitor parking is available in front of the building in metered spaces for $0.25 per 15 minutes (two-hour maximum). These spaces are intended for students who are registering for classes.
Parking for Classes:
Parking is available in the UCR Extension Center parking structure and in the adjacent surface parking lots. Permits are needed seven days a week from 8 a.m.–10 p.m.
How to Buy a Permit:
- Students may purchase parking permits online or at the Student Services desk at the UCR Extension Center.
- Prepurchased permits will be held at the Student Services registration desk for pickup prior to first night of class.
- One-day visitor parking permits for UCR Extension Center, which cost $5, are available from the dispensers located in the east and west lots.
- Evening/weekend parking permits (3–10 p.m. weekdays, all day weekends — UCR Extension lots only) are available for $33 per quarter.
- General parking permits (8 a.m.–10 p.m. daily) are available for $99 per quarter.
Refunds:
Parking permit refunds will not be granted after the second week of the quarter. Requests may be made by mail or in person at the Student Services desk at the UCR Extension Center.
Parking Ticket Disputes
If you wish to dispute a parking ticket , please fill out a parking appeal form on the Transportation and Parking Services website.
Parking on the UC Riverside Main Campus
Parking is available in visitor lots for $6 weekdays and $5 evenings after 4 p.m. and on weekends. Permits are available for purchase at the information kiosks located at the entrances to campus off University Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard. UCR Extension's quarterly evening/weekend parking permit cannot be used in any campus lots. Parking on campus is enforced 7 a.m.–10 p.m. seven days a week.
Parking at UCR Palm Desert
Parking permits are required 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. UCR Extension evening/weekend permits, available for $30 directly from UCR Extension, are valid 3–10 p.m. evenings and all day weekends. Daily permits are available for purchase by credit card only for $5 from the dispenser in Lot B.
