SBC CARES
is a program of professional support that provides incentive stipends to eligible early childhood caregivers. Participants may be classified in one of five tracks in order to work toward a CARES Stipend. All participants must meet the following criteria:
General Requirements
- Provide child care in San Bernardino County for at least 15 hours per week to children birth through five
- Work as a Child Care Professional in one of the following services:
- Family Child Care
- Center-Based Care
- Head Start or State-Preschool
- License-Exempt Care (e.g., Trustline Provider, Family, Friend and Neighbor)
- Compose and implement a professional Development Plan under the supervision of a SBC CARES and/or Professional Growth Advisor
NOTE: Individuals who qualify for AB212 funding are not eligible for SBC CARES stipends.
SBC CARES offers five tracks of Early Care Professional Assistance:
