Medical Case Management Certificate
Offered Online
Online Course Information
The required courses in the Certificate in Case Management
are presented online. Each course provides an instructor and a defined
timeframe for completing the assignments, homework and required sessions,
i.e. discussions or chat sessions between the students and the instructor,
and the final exam. Participants are given assignments, homework,
online quizzes or research projects with due dates that are submitted
via e-mail to the instructor. Moodle is used as the learning
management system. Elective units may be earned through traditional
or online formats. Once enrolled in an online course, participants
are e-mailed with further instructions.
Materials
Textbooks for each online course are listed with the individual
course in the Schedule
of Courses. Participants are responsible
for purchasing the required texts. Handouts and other materials
will be provided online when necessary.
Hardware Requirements
You will need access to the Internet, an e-mail account and Microsoft Word 98 or later (all graphics will open in Word). If AOL is your Internet provider, you will need to access the course through a non-AOL browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape. These must be "Java and Cookies enabled." Most computers can accommodate one of these browsers.
