Education for the Gifted and Talented Certificate

Completion Requirements
All teachers who wish to receive the Certificate in Education for the Gifted and Talented are required to:

  • Enroll in the program by filing an enrollment form prior to the completion of the second course in the program.
  • Pay the enrollment fee.
  • Complete four required courses (12 units total) with grade C or better.
  • Complete three units of electives (1- or 2-unit courses) with grade C or better.
  • Call (951) 827-1655 when all 15 units of required courses and electives have been completed.

Transfer Credit
No transfer credit from other institutions is permitted. However, applicable courses taken through UCR Extension prior to enrollment may be counted toward the certificate.
