Instructional Aide Certificate

The Instructional Aide certificate program provides instructional aides with training and practical knowledge of their schoolwide procedures, communications and relations with students, parents, principals and district personnel. Specific training for aides who assist teachers of English language learners and/or special education students is included.

The program is open to anyone who has completed high school or passed the GED.

Districts can provide inservices for instructional aides that assist them in achieving their A.A. degrees. The certificate units can be used as electives in an A.A. degree program.
