Focuses on the manager and the skills needed to be successful at developing people, and creating effective high performance teams to meet organizational goals and objectives. Discussions include:

  • advanced communications skills
  • delegating to meet goals
  • setting and managing performance expectations
  • time management
  • coaching to improve performance
  • motivation and communication
  • rewarding performance

Special attention will be paid to establishing effective work teams, with a focus on the roles of team members.

close [x] William "Bill" Ballas, M.S., Management and Leadership, Founder and CEO, WSB, LLC and SCMDNA, LLC, has extensive experience in planned giving and has led the annual, major gift and endowment campaigns for Bon Secours Health Foundation, the University of Virginia Neurological Institute, ElderHomes Corp., Morgan Autism Center, and Hope Hospice. Mr. Ballas is also a Certified Fund Raising Executive and experienced Grant Researcher and Writer. His grant proposals have been funded by federal and state agencies, and dozens of corporate, private, public and family foundations.

As part of CVWD's executive management team, Ms. Russo-Pereyra oversees human resources, risk management, communications, governmental affairs, legislative and policy analysis, and community relations.
