Python is powerful programming language that has been accepted as the scripting language of choice for ArcGIS users. An introduction to the proper syntax and fundamentals of Python using the ArcPy site package to streamline workflows in ArcGIS. Learn to:

  • write basic Python scripts to automate geoprocessing workflows
  • list data and access and update values in attribute tables
  • build feature layers and table views to create selections
  • write to and read from text files
  • troubleshoot errors
  • use loops to execute different code based on the result
