Reading and Language Arts Specialist Credential

The credential for the Reading and Language Arts Specialist has been approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Candidates who complete the program will be eligible to transfer nine of the competed units to the University of California Riverside toward a M.Ed. with a reading and language arts emphasis.

The purpose of the Reading and Language Arts Specialist Credential is to prepare teacher to effectively provide instruction for students at risk and staff development and coaching for classroom teachers.
