AP* Summer Institute for Secondary School Teachers

August 4-8, 2008
1200 University Ave
Riverside, CA 92507

College Board Advanced Placement Program Logo

Teaching an Advanced Placement Program* course is a rewarding yet demanding assignment because teachers must provide students with an intellectual experience comparable to their freshman year at college. Since both AP* courses and examinations are continually revised, AP* teachers must remain updated on any changes.

University Extension’s AP* Summer Institute presents a balance between scholarship and practicality. Its purpose is to show teachers how to effectively teach AP* courses. The AP* Examinations, how they are developed and graded, and how to prepare students for these tests, are discussed in detail.
