Study human anatomy and physiology in online course offered by Extension for medical professionals
RIVERSIDE, CALIF. – People planning to enter the medical health professions or medical health professionals who speak more than one language may be interested in UCR Extension's new online course, Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology for Medical Vocations, which begins June 24.
Instructor Anne Marie Allen, B.S.N., Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville, Florida and graduate of Extension's Certificate in Forensic Nursing program, will guide students through the basic structure and functions of the human body. The lessons familiarize students with anatomical terminology; the major body areas and their functions; chemistry; cells, tissues and organs; homeostasis; and the interactions between the various body systems and parts.
