Learn how to review anything from award-winning critic Stacy Davies in UCR Extension’s new writing class
RIVERSIDE, CALIF. – Join instructor and award-winning writer Stacy Davies in UCR Extension’s new class How to Write A Review About Anything, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 and Saturday, May 3. Davies, who has recently earned an Excellence in Journalism Award from the Society of Professional Journalists for her review of the Chaffey College exhibit titled "Girly Show," will show students that you don’t need to be an expert to be a qualified critic. Davies brings a wealth of life experience to the classroom, including stints working with Jodie Foster and for "E! True Hollywood Story."
In this class, students learn how to do basic research for a review and write honestly about their experiences. Students explore how to develop a distinct voice, expand vocabulary and tone choices, and learn about potential avenues for publication. The fee is $130 (includes parking).
