Osher at UC Riverside Extension
Since 2003, UCR Extension's Osher has provided a stimulating learning experience at a modest cost that enriches the intellectual, social, and cultural lives of people over the age of 50. Our courses and lectures are only open to Osher members, so learning takes place in a peer environment. There are no tests or grades and no entrance exams or minimum educational background restrictions — the only requirement is a love of learning.

Tales of Riverside
Judge John G. Gabbert was born in 1909 and recalls vividly his experiences as a boy growing up in Riverside from 1915 to 1941. Those accounts were recorded and are told by him with supporting vintage photographs to enhance his delightful story-telling style.
The DVDs – "Riverside, My Riverside," covering the years from 1915 to 1925, and "When All the World Was Young," covering the years from 1927 to 1941 – are available for a contribution of $20 each.
