"Let's Talk" Podcast

FREE AUTOMATIC MP3 DOWNLOADS

Already have a podcast application?

Simply add the following feed to your software: http://www.extension.ucr.edu/letstalk/rss.xml

Or subscribe via the iTunes Music Store.

What is Podcasting?
Podcasting allows individuals or organizations to publish (podcast) radio programs (like "Let's Talk") to which interested listeners (like you) can subscribe (for free) using podcasting software applications.

Before podcasting, you could manually download radio programming segments from Web sites. With podcasting, the radio shows are automatically downloaded to your personal computer. You never have to remember to find and download the audio files. You may listen to the MP3 audio files from your computer, or transfer them to an iPod or other portable audio player to listen to whenever and wherever.

What equipment do I need?
The basic requirements for podcasting are a computer (PC or Mac), podcasting software and an Internet connection. One of the more popular applications for podcasting is iTunes, version 4.9 or higher, which may be downloaded for free.

To listen to the audio files away from your computer, you will need an iPod or other portable MP3 player.

How do I get started?
Simply download and install podcasting software onto your computer (see "What equipment do I need?" above). Although applications vary, each should provide instructions on how to subscribe to or add podcast feeds.

If you select iTunes as your podcasting software, "Let's Talk" is listed in the Podcast Directory in the iTunes Music Store. Follow this link to the "Let's Talk" iTunes Podcast page and click "SUBSCRIBE".

Once you have subscribed to the podcast using any podcasting software application, new items/files added to the podcast feed will be automatically downloaded to your computer.
