UC Riverside CME Mission Statement
Goals
The University of California, Riverside through its Division of
Biomedical Science and University Extension and Summer Sessions provides
continuing medical education to physicians through seminars, conferences
and courses to make available current information regarding basic science,
the practice of medicine and clinical research including ethics, faculty
development, and issues of primary care that are critical to optimum
patient care.
Scope
The scope of the CME effort shall extend to the Division of Biomedical
Sciences physician faculty, practicing physicians and
allied health professionals in the surrounding community and throughout
California through educational programs of the highest quality.
Audience
The University serves the primary care physicians, medical specialists
and multi-disciplinary professionals, and other medical
providers as appropriate.
Activities
The general types of activities offered include single lectures,
courses, workshops and seminars of varied duration that are designed
to accommodate the needs of the audience served. Teaching methodology
includes didactic, interactive, demonstration of techniques, panels and
presentations.
