Gain insight into current methods of teaching English to language learners around the world, and develop your craft through student teaching. Once you've got some experience under your belt, take your journey to the next level and pursue teaching in the US and abroad, and then apply your units toward a Master's program at one of our three partner universities.

Whether you're looking to teach middle school students in Korea, college students in Costa Rica, or adult immigrants in the US, the TESOL Advanced Certificate will prepare you for the challenges of teaching English to non-native speakers. Start with the fundamentals of teaching and observe professional teachers in the classroom. As you build your skills and study important theories behind teaching, you'll develop your own toolkit of activities and techniques to carry with you. Finishing up the program, you'll apply all you've learned into actual lessons in your student teaching class and complete your professional teaching portfolio. With your advanced certificate in hand, you'll be ready to teach in any country and work with learners all over the world.
