Graphic design is a diverse and growing field with opportunities spanning across multiple industries. Developed with the working professional in mind, this program allows you the option of completing the coursework at your own pace, or over a 3-month period during our intensive academy. Begin in a face-to-face classroom session, and enjoy the flexibility of online instruction for part of the time. Gain approximately 150 hours of professional-level instruction in all key areas of digital arts and design through the following learning modules:

  • Digital Communications

Emphasizes a "gestalt process" of design in the organization and development of visually compelling pieces with consideration to appropriate aesthetic sensibilities, spatial relations, color, typography, and layout. Centers around the use of Adobe Creative Suite applications.

  • Digital Design Process

Instruction covers the "7-step production process" which takes the designer from conception (the idea) to output (production and finished project). Introduces you to creating content for the web using Dreamweaver.

  • Digital Art & Design

Builds on the basics of visual communication tools and methods with a more in-depth look into the art of design. Design projects will involve using the Adobe Creative Suite tools to work on branding ID, unique business domain name, and the development of a portfolio. Business practices will be woven in.

  • Web Design for Graphic Designers

Using Adobe's Dreamweaver, learn how to produce a consistent look and feel by taking pieces designed for print and translating them over to the web. Covers technical web topics such as CSS and XHTML, with a strong focus on how to integrate Dreamweaver with other design tools in the Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Digital Design Portfolio Review & Presentation

A comprehensive review of all design work and materials produced.
