This course examines early childhood programs with reference to specific environmental orientations and influences of various approaches. Emphasis is placed on direct observation experience and evaluation of a variety of programs for young children offered in the community. Topics include the history of early childhood education, different models for child development programs, developmental theories, observational techniques, learning theories and evaluation methods.

Enfasis es puesto en experiencia directa de observacion y evaluacion en various programas para ninos pequenos que se ofrecen en la comunidad. Temas incluyen la historia de educacion de la ninez temprana, diferentes modelos para programas del desarrollo del nino, teorias del desarrollo, tecnicas de observacion, teorias de aprendizaje y metodos de evaluacion.
