Physical, cognitive and social development of children are examined in the context of family influences. Topics include developmentally appropriate parenting techniques for interacting with children of different ages and cultures; health, hygiene, and nutritional concerns critical in the developmental years; the importance of immunizations, childhood diseases, regular schedules; and exemplary training programs for effective parenting.
