Introduction to the methods, procedures, laws and agencies that public schools encounter when dealing with facilities planning and attempting to provide adequate classroom space and support facilities for current and projected students. An overview of the planning process, particularly with respect to accommodating student growth will be presented. The course is appropriate for current school board members and prospective superintendents, assistant superintendents, city or county planners and individuals interested in pursuing careers in educational facilities planning.
