Framework for understanding the unique characteristics of students with autism spectrum disorders, including high functioning autism and Asperger Syndrome. Topics include:

  • Diagnostic issues
  • Appropriate assessment strategies
  • Educational implications for program planning and service delivery
  • Interventions that consider sensory processing challenges to students with ASD

Emphasis on selecting best practices for working with each student's cognitive functioning.
