Examines the development, use and analysis of blueprints for construction managers, general contractors, various building trades including plumbers, electricians and others. Topics include preparing blueprints, identifying common blueprint terminology and styles, industrial blueprint requirements, analyzing important features, use of blueprints on the jobsite, developing key questions and challenges to information in blueprints, liability and limitations of blueprints, cost factors and tradeoffs, interpreting design elements and features, codes, structural requirements and engineering fundamentals.

close [x] Juventino Garcia, B.S., Construction Inspector, Public Works Department, City of Riverside, has extensive experience in both vertical and horizontal construction, holds certifications through the American Public Works Administration, International Code Council, the Project Management Institute, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Mr. Garcia is also a Certified Plans Examiner, and has supervised a wide variety of projects, including the construction of bridges, street improvements, concrete flatwork, and base camp development and improvement for the California Army National Guard.
