Assessment for Educational Therapists: Practicum

Assessment tools and procedures frequently used in educational therapy are introduced. The analysis of observations, results and methods for integrating these findings in developing therapeutic teaching strategies are emphasized. Course includes a required field experience involving the administration of specific assessment instruments and reporting the results for developing intervention plans. Students are required to have access to assessment instruments and models of interpretive report formats.

O'Malley, M.A., Educational Psychology, Educational Psychologist, Big Springs Educational Therapy Center and School, is licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences, and is also a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.  Ms. O'Malley works with a variety of clients ranging in age from early childhood to adulthood, each presenting with a unique set of disabilities.  She also serves as the Director and Supervisor of Big Springs' Applied Behavior Analyst program, designed to help cultivate students with behavioral challenges into successful learners.
