This course is designed as Part B of a two-part series and focuses on applications of human growth and development theory. Opportunities and experiences to acquire an understanding of factors that contribute to successful learning, identify barriers to learning, and develop and implement prevention and early intervention strategies for addressing these problems are presented. Candidates are required to demonstrate knowledge of classroom, school, family and community factors that support pupil learning, academic, emotional and social successes.
