Including Students with Learning Disabilities in General Education

Explores how most learning disabilities manifest themselves, and how teachers can assure that students with learning disabilities have access to the core curriculum and receive the same chances to succeed as typical learners. There will be emphasis on approaches such as:

  • multi-dimensional instruction
  • "backwards planning"
  • study skills methods
  • structured peer interaction

You will also discuss the principles of Universal Design for Learning that will benefit all students, regardless of their preferred learning styles.
