Examines the different types of attention deficits and discusses:

  • how they present themselves in classroom environments
  • the advantages and drawbacks of common treatments and interventions
  • the available supports and assistance

You will also explore how the negative effects of attention deficits can be minimized through a focus on executive functioning, structured student interaction, creative use of technology and by employing the principles of Universal Design for Learning.
