Explore the Scorpion Bay area of Santa Rosa and Santa Rosa Islands. Learn about their natural, cultural, and geologic history; endemic species that inhabit the islands; and the conservation challenges facing these islands. Potential sightings may include:
- the Santa Cruz Island Fox
- various pelagic bird species
- local plants
- whales and other cetaceans
- a variety of fish
- pinnipeds
You will also explore Painted Cave by boat, and learn about the natural history of a local resident: the Great White Shark.
