Topics include the challenges and changes affecting purchasing, technology and automation in purchasing and supply change management processes, materiel handling, working with suppliers, staff and materiel, outsourcing, procurement coordination, control and verification. Seminar and cases studies provide participants with real world examples and opportunities to apply the skills they develop throughout the course.

Michael P. Boyd, MAOM, C.P.M., has over 43 years management experience in both the private and public sectors. As a Major Project Procurement Officer for a nation-wide financial institution and a Purchasing Manager for the City of Chino, he bridges the gaps between private and public sector supply chain operations. He has been teaching for UCR Extension for 9 years.
