Introduces proven study skills for learning medical terminology and documentation. You will learn how to:

  • dissect suffixes, prefixes, and root words
  • recognize medical abbreviations and definitions
  • remember difficult terms using simple explanations

The meanings of these terms are carefully described in the context of how the body works in health and disease. You also learn techniques for retaining and recognizing medical terms most often used in the clinical setting, without memorization. Previous experience with medical terminology is not required.
