Maintaining and Supporting Computers (A+ Certification Training)

This course provides a hands-on exploration of PC architecture for individuals interested in troubleshooting, repair and help desk support. Participants examine PC hardware, DOS and Windows, basic networking and printers. A+ Certification is a testing program sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) that certifies the competency of entry-level service technicians in the computer industry. This course helps participants prepare for A+ Core and DOS/Windows 2000/XP objectives exam. The A+ Certification is an important first step for participants wishing to pursue Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and other advanced computer certifications.

Networking (Network+ Certification Training)

Participants learn about the design, installation, maintenance and administration of a variety of networks including Microsoft Windows. Commonly used hardware, including network interface cards, hubs, bridges, switches and routers, is examined. Networking technologies like Ethernet and the TCP/IP protocol are studied in detail to prepare participants for the CompTIA Network+ certification or follow-up training toward Cisco Systems, Novell or Microsoft certification.
