UCR Extension | Instructors Wanted

Are you interested in being a course presenter or presenting a lecture in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute program? If so, a unique teaching opportunity awaits you.

Learning takes place in a peer environment with learners whose common bonds are intellectual curiosity and the experience of their generation. There are no grades or tests. Classes are offered in Riverside at the UCR Extension Center and in the Coachella Valley at the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences.

Being a course presenter allows you to:

  • Share your passion on a topic or set of topics.
  • Interact and engage with a community of adult learners.
  • Lead learners through university-level courses and lectures without the administrative hassles of traditional teaching (tests, grades, homework).
  • Inspire others to learn and explore.

For your participation as a presenter in the program, you will receive free Osher membership, access to supplies and equipment for course instruction and a presenter honorarium.

If you are interested in teaching a class or presenting a lecture for the Osher program, please download and print the Class Proposal form and return it to us via mail or fax to (951) 827-3043. If you have questions about the form or about teaching, please call the Osher Office at (951) 827-7139.
